Dear National Federations,
The UEC has been contacted by the organiser of Fair Ride Europe (FRE) – Youth MTB for Equality, an Erasmus+ Sport cooperation project currently being developed by the Municipality of Plœuc-L'Hermitage (France).
The project aims to promote gender equality and inclusion through mountain biking, while encouraging European youth exchange, intercultural activities and learning opportunities for young riders and coaches.
The project is expected to bring together participants from 15 European countries, with the main event provisionally scheduled to take place in Plœuc-L'Hermitage, France, from 22 to 30 July 2028.
The organiser is currently looking for interested MTB clubs, National Federations or other sports organisations to join the project. Participation may be through a single club, a group of clubs or a National Federation delegation.
We would therefore kindly invite you to consider this opportunity and/or share the attached presentation with any clubs or teams in your country that may be interested.
Each participating delegation would consist of:
12 young riders – 2 girls and 2 boys in each of the U13, U15 and U17 categories
3 staff of the delegation
1 junior commissaire
According to the information provided by the organiser, participation would involve no financial cost for the participating organisation/delegation.
Please find attached a short presentation with further information about the project, including the eligibility criteria.
Any National Federation, club or organisation interested in participating or wishing to receive further information is invited to contact the project manager directly:
